Life is not linear and tidy.

Your experiences are real. Your feelings are real.

But to move forward, to heal, and to grow, God wants us to surrender to Him that which hinders us. Weighs us. Binds us. Imprisons us.

Trusting His word, His promises, and his reassurance that what was meant for our harm, He will turn it around for our victory and his glory.

So, when that situation rises up. When those memories resurface. When your past starts creeping up on you. When those thoughts try to grab hold of you. When those people stand against you.

Do not fear. Do not be dismayed! Maintain your position, oh child of God, and stand firmly in the confidence of the anointing and authority God has given you!

Draw your strength from Him. Not by your might nor by your power, but by the Spirit of the Lord we can face what has and may come!

Acknowledging the existence of those experiences and the realities of their impact but we must NOT entertain and embrace the enemy’s intended purpose of their presence.

Therefore, put on the full armour of God and with shouts of joy let the sounds of victory resound in your tent and declare “For the Lord my God goes before me. He is in it with me. Fighting for me. Working through me. You do not have the final say!”

Prayer: When the storms rage, and the waters rise; when my thoughts become toxic and my emotions unsteady, I will not fear for you are with me. Help me Holy Spirit of God to have perspective, discerning vision, and ears sensitive to your voice. You Oh God are the author and finisher of my story. Amen
