The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

- Zephaniah 3:17

Did you know that God rejoices over you with gladness?

And did you know that your happiness comes when you rejoice in God?

Zephaniah tells us that God is the only one who can make us truly happy. We will experience that joy when we allow God to enter our lives as we faithfully follow Him in obedience.

When we disobey the Lord, it leads to things that God doesn't intend us to suffer.

We may think we can sin without consequences, but eventually, we miss out on the peace and joy that comes from going to bed at night with a clear conscience!

If you genuinely desire happiness, then follow closely after the Lord in obedience, and He will make your joy complete.

Finally, there is nowhere and no circumstance that is too far or too bad that you cannot return to the Lord. He sees you through the lenses of forgiveness.

So thank Him today that He loves you so much He rejoices over you!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me and seeing me through the lenses of righteousness provided by your Son's sacrifice. Thank you for giving me the road to happiness in You. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
