See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
- 1 John 3: 1-2
Beginning this week we have discussed refining, renewal, overflowing and now being full of boundless love.
Our definition of who God is, shapes our view of how much He is able to love us.
As imperfect beings it is terribly hard for us to truly grasp the true love of the Father – How could He possibly love us as much as the Bible says?
You may say to yourself, “If only he knew how horrible my choices have been, if he knew every mistake, if he knew how many times I’ve doubted Him….”
Jesus was sent to be a reflection of true boundless love. A walking, living example of overflowing love for others and for God. He came to show us what a powerful boundless love can do.
We know through experience and stories that boundless love can save the world because indeed it has.
Our view of love often hinders us from fully understanding that.
How can we embrace a love we have never met here on earth?
• We refer to the Bible.
• We trust in how He cares for us.
• We acknowledge our humanity.
Reflect & journal:
• How do I feel love best?
• What is my love language?
• Where in my life does God show me his boundless love?
Prayer: Father we surrender our expectations to you. I ask Jesus for you to help me to fully grasp how deep how sacred and how full your love is for me. Remove my own expectations, I am emptying myself of all that I know and being wrapped in your loving arms. You are refining, renewing, pouring into and wrapping me in love.
With Love,
Audri Marie
