And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
- Acts 16:25 KJV
It’s not hard to praise God when everything is going right.
It’s everything to praise God when everything is going wrong!
Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown in prison. They didn’t cry out to God to save them. Instead, they started praising God at midnight.
In the middle of night, they had a worship session.
For all Paul and Silas knew they could be killed in the morning.
Instead of crying out to God to rescue them, they simply worshipped him.
It gives new meaning to the verse:
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:21 KJV
They both knew whether they lived or died, God will be glorified.
When you’re in a stormy season of life, take the example of Paul and Silas. Praise the Lord.
The Bible says he’s working everything out for our good. He knows are comings and our goings. If God brought you to it, he’ll bring you through it.
Father in Heaven,
Thank you for this revelation. I will praise you all the days of my life. I know you’re with me through the storm. I will praise your Holy Name,
Amen.

“The things that seem to bind us drop powerless behind us when we praise Him”! Thank you for this reminder!
