And you were also included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

- Ephesians 1:13

We know that when we accept Christ as our Savior, we are given the Holy Spirit to indwell us.

But did you know that the gift of the Holy Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will do what He has promised?

It is Him telling us that we are His now. We belong to Him and will forever be His child.

Not only is the Holy Spirit a seal saying we forever belong to God, but it is also God’s power at work within us, helping us do His will.

His power in us is transforming!

We are made new, able to do right and walk in purity and truth with the power we have from the Holy Spirit.

God’s Word also tells us to do right, so we don’t silence or quench the Holy Spirit. Instead, we must remember that the Holy Spirit protects us, enables us, and guides us in our decisions.

He is our comforter and ever-present help in times of trouble!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for giving your life for me. Thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to be with me. Please help me to live for you today. Amen.
