The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
- John 10:3
God knows your name!
He not only knows your name, but knows everything about you.
The number of hairs on your head, your personality, your likes, dislikes, dreams and passions.
You are not a mere statistic or random number among the sea of His creation. His involvement in your life is so much more personal than you can comprehend!
We read and hear about how God loves us and that He’s near, but sometimes fail to truly receive His love in full measure or grasp how close to us He really is.
Remember that the Lord is also your shepherd, and He is the one who guides your path and leads you out. He is your protector, your defender, your best friend and beloved. And He calls you by name. He knows you better than you know yourself!
When you read the word, look for the ways God speaks to you personally through it. The life-giving truth, freedom, love, joy, strength, peace, wisdom and fulfillment within those holy scriptures is meant for you and calling out to you!
Today, be reminded that your shepherd knows your name, and hear Him calling out to you in the depths of your heart!
“Lord, I long to be more aware of how involved you really are in my life! Help me to hear your voice when you call my name, for only you are my shepherd in this life.”

Message from Kara
One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is that Jesus never asks us to walk through life alone.
Like a loving shepherd, He goes before us. He knows every turn in the road long before we arrive there, and He faithfully leads us with wisdom and grace.
There have been seasons when I wished God would show me every detail of the journey ahead. Instead, He's often invited me to simply trust His voice one step at a time.
If you're waiting for direction today, remember that your Shepherd hasn't stopped leading. Stay close to Him, keep listening, and trust that He knows exactly where He's taking you.
Cheering you on,
Kara 🤍
