“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
- John 16:33
Jesus never promised His followers a trouble-free life, but He did promise His victory. Because of His death and resurrection, sin has been defeated, death has lost its sting, and hope has the final word. Whatever battles we face today are temporary compared to the eternal victory Christ has already secured. This life will be a blip in the light of our eternity with Jesus.
When life feels overwhelming, remember that your Savior is not defeated. He reigns over every circumstance, every setback, and every impossible situation. The cross reminds us that God can bring resurrection out of what appears hopeless. If He conquered the grave, He is more than able to carry you through today's challenges.
Jesus’ crucifixion looked like the end of all hope. Yet through His death and resurrection, God defeated sin and death and offered eternal life to everyone who believes. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
I often think of how flowers die in the brutal cold of winter, but come spring, the annuals bud back to life. The dead parts of the plants, we prune away and it causes the flowers to bloom even bigger. Likewise, God uses the winter to prune us and help us to grow stronger in Him.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your victory over sin and death. Help me face each day with confidence, knowing that You have already overcome. Fill my heart with courage and unshakable hope as I follow You. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Today, I give them to You. Help me turn my worries into prayers instead of letting them take over my thoughts.
Give me a grateful heart that remembers Your faithfulness. When I don't know what to do, remind me that I can always come to You.
Guard my heart and my mind with Your peace.
Not because everything is suddenly fixed, but because I know I don't have to face it alone.
Teach me to trust You with the things I cannot control and to return to You every time worry comes knocking.
Thank You for hearing me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Message from Kara
What if this happens?
What if it doesn't work out?
What if I can't fix it?
John 16:33 reminds me that I don't have to stay stuck in that cycle.
I can pause and pray. I can tell God exactly what I'm worried about. I can thank Him for His faithfulness. And I can choose to trust Him with the things I cannot control.
That doesn't mean every worry disappears immediately. Sometimes I have to surrender the same thing more than once. And that's okay.
