When we hear that God’s plans for us are good, do we quietly fill in the meaning of “good” with our own desires? What is it that we yearn for the most—more money, love, a home, a child? Yet Scripture reminds us that the chief end of man is to glorify God.
The closer we are to Jesus, and get to know Him, the more our prayers and desires align with His. Jesus knows us. He knows you. “You knew me before I was even conceived. You know the hairs on my head (Luke 12:7) and Your thoughts of me outnumber the grains of sand.” (Psalm 139:17-18)
If we’re honest, it’s hard to surrender our desires to those of Jesus. Because we desire a sense of control. It’s hard to give up to God our most inner longings. However, He gave up His life for us. He knows our thoughts before we even think them.
So how should we pray, and where do we begin, to surrender our hearts so they follow the heart of Christ? We come to God in humility asking for him to forgive our rebellious spirits and lead us closer to Him.
Faith requires action. God gives us opportunities, but we must choose to step forward with courage. By trusting Him, we transform fear into excitement and uncertainty into adventure.
Prayer: Jesus, help me recognize and embrace the opportunities for me to trust You. Give me courage to step boldly into trusting Your guidance, as I pursue the blessings You have prepared for me in Your will. Amen.

Starting something new can be exciting—but if I'm honest, it can also feel intimidating. I've had seasons where I questioned whether I was ready or capable of what God was asking me to do.
Looking back, I'm so thankful I didn't let fear have the final word. Time after time, God has proven that He is faithful to lead us where He calls us.
