Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- John 14:27
What is fear?
It has been said that fear is “false evidence appearing real.”
However, fear is also defined as a belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or is a threat.
However, when our fears are unfounded, or we continue to ruminate over things over which we have no control, we take on worries we were not intended to carry.
Therefore, whatever is weighing heavily on your heart today, God wants to take it and give you comfort in return!
Worry and anxiety often accompany us like old friends.
They drag us to places where God doesn’t intend us to go.
However, when we believe in Jesus, we can trust His provision for whatever comes our way. By walking close to Him and following Him, we can rest in knowing He has a good plan for our lives.
Prayer: Jesus, my heart is heavy today with worries and anxieties you never intended for me to carry. Please take them from me and work through these things for my best. Heal my heart and hurt, and provide peace as I await your answer. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
