Daily Devotional • Lamentations 3:22-23 • New Mercies Every Morning

Every sunrise is a reminder that God's faithfulness has not run out. Lamentations 3:22–26 invites us to lift our eyes from yesterday's burdens and rest in the promise that His mercies are new every morning. No matter what you're facing today, His love remains constant, His compassion never fails, and His grace is enough.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.

- Lamentations 3:22-23

Did you know that God is for you? He is! The Bible is chock-full of God’s promises to you. We are told in these verses in Lamentations that God’s love never ceases. Can you imagine that? It never stops. His mercies for you never come to an end. They are new every single morning.

So today, when you woke up and felt weighed down by past sins, or mistakes, God was ready and waiting to renew your spirit.

In light of your disobedience, He offers forgiveness and sets you on a new path. He loves you and desires good for you. He wants your trust.

Today as you reflect on the state of your heart and mind, where do you find yourself? Do you need to ask God to forgive you? Do you need His direction for a specific problem or burden? Trust Him today, yield to His Word. You will find Him waiting with open arms.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
