You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
– Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world!
As a precious child of God who knows Jesus, there are many out there who need to see the light of Christ shining within you.
Because the world desperately needs the light of Christ, be encouraged to not hide yourself. Proclaiming your love for Jesus will not always seem easy. However, we can’t let that stop us!
Just as a lamp is not lit under a bowl, concealed from view, neither should we conceal the light of Christ within us from others. The more we pursue God and fall more in love with Him, the easier it becomes to share Him with others. The closer you draw near to the Lord, the brighter His light within you shines!
You become a lighthouse of God’s love and glory for those around you lost at sea in the world!
How can you share the light of Christ with others today? Wherever you go and no matter who you encounter, the light of the world is alive inside you!
Prayer: Lord, I want to be a light of your love wherever I go! Help me to always walk in obedience to your word and point others to you. May I never hide your light shining within me, but boldly proclaim your name!

Jesus didn't call you to hide the hope He's placed within you. He created you to reflect His love in your words, your actions, and the way you serve others each day. Before moving on, spend a few quiet moments asking God where He is inviting you to shine His light today.

Message from Kara
I think one of the most encouraging parts of this passage is that Jesus doesn't ask us to create our own light—He simply asks us to reflect His.
Some days that looks like offering encouragement to a friend. Other days it may simply mean showing kindness when it's unexpected or choosing faith over fear. Those small moments often become the brightest testimony of God's love.
Never underestimate what God can do through your everyday faithfulness. Someone may encounter His hope because you chose to let His light shine.
I'm praying you'll walk confidently in the purpose He's given you today.
Cheering you on,
Kara
