Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
- Proverbs 3:5-6
The unknown is unsettling. Our minds crave certainty, but God often calls us to move forward without knowing every detail. Peace comes not from having control, but from trusting the One who does. This life is hard. If we could see the heavenly realm we would be stunned at all the spiritual warfare taking place.
Each unknown path challenges us to rely on God’s strength, not our own. Philippians 4:7 reminds us that His peace “surpasses all understanding.” This peace steadies us in uncertainty, allowing us to walk boldly despite fear or doubt. God’s Word tells us to trust in God with all our hearts, and then the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds. But we have to trust Him with all our hearts!
Reflection helps cultivate trust. What parts of this season feel unknown? What fears arise, and what does God ask you to surrender? Journaling these questions allows you to actively place your uncertainty in God’s hands.
Every step into the unknown becomes a lesson in faith, resilience, and hope. When we lean on God instead of clinging to familiarity, He is with us.
Prayer: Lord, grant me peace in the unknown because I’m scared and hurting. Help me trust Your presence, even when I cannot see the full path. Guide my steps, steady my heart, and teach me to embrace change with faith and hope. Amen.
With Love,
Sherry Shepherd

Message from Kara
If you're facing a season filled with questions, you're not alone. I've had many moments where I wanted God to reveal the entire plan, but instead, He gently invited me to trust Him with just the next step.
Looking back through my journals, I can clearly see how faithfully He guided me—even when I couldn't recognize it in the moment. Those pages have become reminders that God has never once abandoned His promises.
My prayer is that today's devotional gives you the confidence to loosen your grip on certainty and tighten your grip on God's hand. He's already gone before you, and He will faithfully lead you every step of the way.
With gratitude,
Love, Kara 🤍
